Dr. iur. Myriam Gehri, LL.M.

Myriam Gehri studied law at the University of Zurich. She was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 1998 and was additionally admitted to the bar in England and Wales in 2006.
Prior to founding Gehrilegal Attorneys in 2016, Myriam Gehri built up extensive practice experience both on the advocacy side as well as inhouse legal counsel.
Many years of practical experience in commercial and business law
From 1999 to 2009, she worked for various law firms such as Pestalozzi Lachenal Party, Addleshaw Goddard LLP, Meyer Lustenberger Attorneys at Law and Suter & Partner Attorneys at Law. She soon specialised in commercial and business law. From 2009, she headed the international legal department at Basilea Pharmaceutica as General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Further positions in the industry followed, first at Ferrexpo as Head of Legal and then at Schindler Management as Senior Legal Counsel.
Myriam Gehri has led numerous notable contractual projects, due diligence reviews, litigation and arbitration cases, many of them international. She has in-depth knowledge of the commodities, biotech, pharmaceutical, elevator and escalator sectors.
Teaching and commercial judiciary
In addition to her work as a lawyer, Myriam Gehri assisted the Chair of Civil Procedure Law and Debt Collection and Bankruptcy Law under Prof. Dr Karl Spühler at the University of Zurich from 2001 to 2002.
In parallel to her work as an attorney, Ms Gehri has been a part-time commercial judge in Zurich since 2013.
